This was the first time that the national CIP/API Conference (nearly 500 delegates) was held in New Brunswick since the late 1980's.  It truly was worth the wait.  The conference was a tremendous success. A big part of this success was the absolutely superior experience provided by the Fredericton Convention Centre staff as well as the catering and food staff.  

Delegates loved the building.  In addition, the food quality was the best I have experienced in my 20 years attending conferences all over North America.  All of the meals were terrific throughout the conference but the Shindig held on Friday evening truly amazed the delegates.  I had comments from trusted colleagues saying that it was the best evening conference event they had the pleasure of attending in their 30 years of attending CIP conferences.  

As a Frederictonian, I was very happy and proud when the conference wrapped up.  We showed our very best to my colleagues from across the country.

I would like to thank you and the team at the Fredericton Convention Centre for the most seamless conference I have ever run. Typically I would be in constant contact with you and your team regarding temperature, AV or food and beverage issues. There were next to no issues and those that came up were insignificant and handled very efficiently. I have never run a more enjoyable conference. This, coupled with the friendliness of Fredericton makes it disappointing that I need to go to every province before I come back to yours! My staff noted at our post-conference meeting the great hospitality they received while at conference. I think we are all disappointed we will not be coming back soon.  For a newer convention centre- you run like a convention centre that has been around for years!

Of all of the convention centres and hotels that I have held conferences in, yours would be the first I would recommend.

. . . we hosted over 400 delegates from all over Atlantic Canada, and indeed, North America at the Fredericton Convention Centre . . . we received numerous compliments from our delegates about how nice the convention centre facility was, and how friendly and helpful all staff were. . . and I would not hesitate in recommending the Fredericton Convention Centre to any group looking to produce a high quality event. From the friendly and professional staff, to the quality meal catering, to the highly flexible meeting room configurations, the Fredericton Convention Centre played a huge role in making our conference a great success.

We look forward to hosting the Canadian Orthopaedic Nurses Association national conference in May 2015 and working with the team at the convention center. 

The facility is spacious, artistic, green, and offers advanced technology.  The center is located in a scenic setting in downtown Fredericton.  It is extremely beneficial to have the center offer a food and beverage and presentation service at the facility.  Erin Blanchard was able to answer all our questions in a timely manner and we felt she went above and beyond in ensuring we understood what the conference center could provide.  She was knowledgeable regarding what the city of Fredericton could offer our delegates while attending conference.  We felt empowered by her expertise that this would be a great conference.

 It is with incredible gratitude that I write to all of you.....what an incredible experience I had in Fredericton at CANSPEP 2013.
 . . . what I found truly staggering were the numerous “extra details” that were created:  the welcome at the airport, the group picture, the painting, the scarf making etc. . .
Fredericton is a wonderful city – and has great venues for meetings etc – but I truly believe that more than selling the venues in Fredericton –planners will return and sell the “fantastic people” of Fredericton!

While on a tour of the new Fredericton Convention Centre with my local Rotary Club, it occurred to me that this would be a great facility to host the Canadian Association of Optometrist (CAO) conference that I attend every year.  I mentioned this to Erin Blanchard at FCC, who contacted the appropriate person at the Ottawa association office, and the rest is history!  I am eagerly anticipating welcoming my colleagues from across the country for CAO Congress 2015. Kudos to Erin and the FCC team for doing the leg work required to convince the CAO staff that Fredericton will meet all their conference needs.  It is going to be a lot of fun!

  . .  . . .amazing the team of the Fredericton Convention Centre was to work with.  Kara Nicholson, my ‘go-to’ contact was absolutely unwavering in her commitment to working with me on every single detail.  And her leadership showed through her entire team; everyone shared the same goal to make our event flaweless.  I assure you it is no easy feat feeding 500 in a dining hall style, working around two stages and a demanding event planner (me!).  In addition, both Alex Green and Phil Deamers from the audio visual side of things couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating…and just a lot of fun!

I just wanted to convey a big thank you on behalf of the Board of Directors for the excellent evening that was facilitated by the Fredericton Convention Centre.

The social hour site proved to be very suitable for the pre-dinner gathering. The food provided for the main event was exceptional and we received very high compliments from our visiting guests. They requested that I pass along their compliments to the Chef with respect to the preparation and selection of the food provided.

Additionally, the staff on hand were very accommodating throughout the evening.
